Hello there, I hope you’re all well.
A couple of items on the agenda:
1. We’ve got a gig on Friday 25th June at Snug Bar in Nottingham. Here’s the Facebook event for the gig, which has all the details you need. It’d be smashing to see you down there if you can make it.
2. I can also reveal that Friday’s gig will be our last as ToR for the foreseeable future. As you may or may not know, ToR has had a couple of line-up changes in recent years and the dynamic of the band has changed substantially as a result. What we’ve turned into feels like something new, and we’ve decided that it’s for the best that we put ToR to bed and start afresh. We’ve got some new songs recorded and plans to release them this year, so we’ll be back in touch with you all when we have the details.
It’s sad to leave ToR behind but more exciting to start something fresh and different; hopefully you’ll enjoy the new stuff we come up with.
ToR has been great fun for the last few years and we’re extremely grateful for the support we’ve received from so many people in the time we’ve been around. Thanks to anybody who’s taken the time to listen to our music, come to our gigs and say nice things about us! Hopefully our paths will cross in the future.

At the end of last year I meant to write a post saying what our favourite albums and stuff were in 2009. I never got round to it, but today I’ve decided to forge ahead and do it anyway, nearly six months into the following year. Here then, in no particular order, are ten of *my favourite albums from last year:
Russian Circles - Geneva
Brand New - Daisy
Therapy? - Crooked Timber
Bat For Lashes - Two Suns
Calories - Adventuring
Dananananackroyd - Hey Everyone
The Twilight Sad - Forget the Night Ahead
Dredg - The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion
Mew - No More Stories Are Told Today…
Isis - Wavering Radiant
Better late than never I suppose.
*I’m not sure which albums the others liked, probably something by Andy Scott-Lee if he had an album out last year.
Cheerio,

An actioned packed slow motion montage of us in full rock action at First Love Studios in Nottingham. Set to the haunting soundtrack of Simon messing around on the piano.

Yo,
Here are a few photos of us recording at First Love studios last month. Our friend Marcus Brown took them.
Hello hello.
I hope you enjoyed the election funtimes if you live in the UK. What a moderately ridiculous few weeks it has been. The nation has spoken, and they said something or other.
Our website has been scuppered by Blogger no longer supporting ftp publishing so the time being this will be our home.
If you want to see our old site/blog it’s here.
Coolio. Right then, in other news we’ve recorded and will shortly be mixing three new songs. We did them at First Love studio in Nottingham with the mighty Peter Fletcher at the desk and on the coffee machine. We’re not sure what we’re doing with them yet. They are short. And different for us.
In ToR related news, Judas’ other band Ocean Bottom Nightmare have released a single this week called What Would Judas Do. It is good, therefore I recommend that you check it out!
Right, that’s that for now, I’m off to get some food.
